Sunset in a little town called Angono
For a newbie in photography, a sunset shot is the easiest but hard to properly accomplish it at the first try.
I say the easiest for the fact that we can see sunset anywhere in the planet (well not exactly anywhere for there are places on the planet where you can’t tell if the sun has set or risen). All you need is to be in the right time and the right place and a lot of patience.
Hard to Accomplish
Yes, shooting a sunset is somewhat hard especially for newbie for the following factor:
- time is at the essence – the sun will set very quick and you might not have the time to set you camera correctly
- composition – newbie tend to shoot directly at the sun for it is the subject of the shoot and disregard their composition
- gears – yes it is easy to just wait for the sun to set but not having the proper gear will make it harder to take a great photograph.
Hope next time you you can get that shot you always dream of shooting.
Was with friends on an out-of-town trip to Baler, Aurora last weekend for a prenuptial shoot.
When we arrive at Baler, we started asking locals which beach resort have big rock formation. All of them suggested one place, it the AMCO Diguisit Resort. We didn’t ask for another one so we type it in Google Maps and followed the direction it gave us.
Took the the shot the morning after we arrive. Was not sure that the sun’s ray would show for I don’t have a tripod with me so I gamble and took the shot handheld.
I took the shot the morning after we arrive. There were a great formation of clouds and the sun is up. I took the shot with a couple of people in the frame to show how big the rock formation in the beach.
Grateful that my friend Ronald and I have the same tripod. Took the shot as soon as he was finished his. Would have took some more but don’t want to hog his tripod.
Note: Always have your tripod when going on a road-trip.
First time I did a Pin-up shoot is with a very beautiful model Leidee Arra.
It was actually an accident that we end up doing a pin-up shoot. Our hair and make-up artist was doing her hair when it was set in a way it look like an oldies hairstyle. Which I then asked if our HMUA knew how to do an 70’s look of hair which he replied “I do and I love that kind of hair-style”.
So we change our concept and we started doing a simple Pin-up shoot.
